While the program only took up approximately 30MB of space, the download and installation took approximately 30 minutes, despite the high-speed Internet connection used. Once this completed, the actual installation and setup were accomplished cleanly. The user is prompted to enter an email address to purchase the full version, but can cancel this option to work with the trial version. Aurora Blu-ray Player for Mac did not have any obvious instructions, but there was some technical support available for updates. The program did have an easy-to-use interface similar to other player applications. Users can clearly select from files or discs to be read and the buttons for each function are clearly labeled with simple graphics. When we selected movie files, the playback began quickly and the video quality was good. Similar results were obtained using a DVD. The buttons available for play, pause, fast-forward, and back were well placed, as was the video slider showing the time played and remaining.
